President As president, I represent the MCR at College and University level, attending Governing Body, Heads Of Department and OUSU Council meetings. I also chair General and Committee Meetings. My job is basically to make sure that everything runs smoothly and to do random bits and bobs. In general, I'm your first port of call for any queries you have.
Treasurer Adam Crellin
Treasurer As treasurer, I oversee the financial administration of the MCR committee, including transparency, accountability and protection from fraud and theft. I’m also responsible for reimbursement, ensuring that officers have access to the funds they need, and liaising with the college Bursary and MCR on financial matters. They call me Mr Money Bags.
Women's Rep Amy Lanham Coles
Women's Rep As your MCR Women’s Rep, I act as a port of call for anyone with gender-related issues or concerns. I hold weekly drop-in sessions where all are welcome to chat to me about any personal or general concerns. I endeavour to make sure that college is providing adequate support for women and is tackling any ‘gendered’ issues, such as ensuring the provision of sexual consent workshops. I’ll also keep you up to date with related events going on in Oxford.
OUSU Officer Sebastián Calvo
OUSU Officer My job is to attend OUSU meetings as the HMC rep. I bring any matters to OUSU meetings on behalf of HMC students and also keep our MCR informed of OUSU matters. This means that I spend a lot of time in meetings wondering if there isn’t a better way to do this all, but it’s also great for understanding the wider world and machinations of Oxford University.
Secretary Will Richardson
Secretary As secretary, I work with the president to organize our general and committee meetings. This includes preparing the agenda for each general meeting, taking minutes at general and committee meetings, and ensuring that the MCR abides by our Constitution. I also facilitate communication from committee members to the MCR and post relevant notices from external organizations.
Social Secretaries Zerene El Haddad Andrew Lunardi
We are the Antipodean, party-scheming, social secretary duo that know how to do fun on a budget. It is up to us to ensure that there is an adequate supply of fun for the MCR as the year goes by. We organise regular exchange dinners with other Colleges, MCR Guest Nights, bops, pop-up concerts, brewing of illicit substances and also have a morbid fascination with fairy lights.
Barista-in-Chief Charlie Bodenham
Barista-in-Chief I would rather suffer with coffee than be senseless - Napoleon Bonaparte
If you’re suffering then please go speak to one of the welfare team. If you’re merely looking to regain your senses then please come speak to me. Supplying the finest whole roast coffee beans to Harris Manchester MCR since 2016, my job is to keep your sanity and social life on track with a delicious selection of coffees, teas and biscotti biscuits.
